This is a pretty cool, relaxing piece to have for your shelf or desk. I remember my parents had something similar when I was growing-up and I used to love to play with it. Now, my child really enjoys turning this piece and watching the hills and valleys of sand slowly take shape.

I saw this and had to get it. It is beautiful and so peaceful to watch as it forms random sandscapes. These would also make great gifts, so I plan to get a few more of them for that purpose, as they are very affordable.

Have you ever bought something intending to give it as a gift and later decide that it was too cool to give away? It is kind of the opposite of re-gifting. That almost happened with this gadget. I think that if my desktop were not already crowded with trinkets, fidget toys and other miscellanea but this is a really great addition and plannning to buy more for gifts

I didn't realize when I ordered this what size it would be, so I was a little thrown when it arrived and wasn't huge like the ones I've seen in person at various venues (i.e., hotel lobby, professional office, etc.). That having been said, it makes a nice addition to a desk or table or shelf, and adds a relaxing and mesmerizing visual conversation piece.
